I’d like to tell you guys today about a technique, an amazing technology I should say, that can provide anyone with relief from stress, anxiety, physical pain, depression, and send you on your way to attracting the things you want in life while letting go of the negativity and the traumas that have kept us from our goals and dreams.
I’m talking about a technique called Tapping or more formally, Emotional Freedom Technique. It’s a technology based on the ancient chinese healing art of acupuncture and meridian points in the body. What I’m talking about are the points in the body that an acupuncture therapist would use to insert little needles to activate energy points and therefore cause healing through the release of negative energy stored in the body’s memory.
EFT or Tapping uses the same principles, the same meridian points but instead of inserting needles, one can generate the same energetic release by simply tapping on the points with our fingers. So this is great because it’s something that we can all have access to and do in the privacy of our own home. The points we’re talking about are very accessible to anyone. They run down both sides of your body so you’re free to tap both sides at the same time with both hands or just use one hand on one side, it doesn’t really matter how you do it. The tapping points include the side of your hand beneath your pinky called the karate chop point, on the starting point of your eyebrow above your nose, on the side of your eye on the bone, underneath your eye above your cheek bone, underneath your nose above your top lip, underneath your bottom lip on the little crease above your chin, the collar bone point, the liver point underneath the breast, and underneath your armpit about where a woman’s bra strap would be, and finally on the top of the head. So you would just gently tap a couple of rounds with two or three fingers on all of these points in the order I’ve described them or however you would like there is no rule to it and you would concentrate on your particular problem as you tap a few times on each point.
So how could “tapping” on your body help anything you ask? It sounds like a silly thing to do right? Well all I can say is try it. For example, all day today I had a splitting migraine from the moment I woke up. Eventually I just told myself that I might as well tap. So this is how it works, you start with the “set up statement” while tapping on the karate chop point on the side of your hand and say out loud or to yourself what your problem is. For example in my case of a headache I tapped on the side of my hand and I said “even though I have this awful migraine, my head hurts so much, I accept and forgive myself.” Then I went on to tap on all of the points one by one for a few seconds concentrating on the pain in my head. Little by little after about 3 rounds I felt so much better. The pain slowly dissipated and somewhere along in the process I got inspired to write this article. I am happy to share this with all of you.
